In this article, we’re going to take you through how to check the Domain Authority of your links using a free, easy method.
Domain Authority is a metric created by Moz, an SEO software company.
Most SEOs use their free DA checking tool, but it often falls short for smaller sites and doesn’t show users what it shows the paid users.
This can lead to discrepancies, questions and all around confusion on what’s the actual score.
At Jodana, we use the Historical DA that we believe is a more accurate assessment of the domain’s overall authority.
If you have the paid version of Moz, then no need to worry. Just input your domain into the Link Explorer and click Analyse. That will give you the most accurate DA score.
If you’re one of the many people who don’t have a Moz account, no problem! We built an app for you that uses the Moz API, but it’s completely free.
You can find it here: https://dachecker.jodana.co.uk/
We’ve tested this tool multiple times, and it always gives the same results as the paid Moz tools. Plus, it includes other relevant metrics like Spam Score.
You can check up to 5 domains at a time, but it still gives you unlimited access to checking all the domains you’d like, all in one place.
That’s it!
Now you have the freedom to check your links, and get their most accurate DA.
Domain Authority and Domain Rating are some of the easiest metrics for scammers to manipulate. Don’t make any major decisions based on these metrics alone, they don’t tell the full story.
